ROSEMINT BATH & BODY SOAP, LOTION & LIP BALM HANDRAFTED BY LAURA
Laura Corzine
"I began making my own soap 20 years ago after buying my first bar of handmade goat's milk soap. The experience was inspiring and so my journey began. In the 80's there was not as much information on soapmaking as there is today, but over the year I learned to perfect my technique to make a quality soap. My activities as a historical reenactor, here in North-East Florida, taught me the value of hand-crafting and using quality ingredients, while my knowledge of herbalism enhances my soap, lotions and lip balms to maximize their effectiveness. Nowdays, I make different soaps suitable for a variety of uses, including shampoo bars, milk soaps & salt soaps. The lotions have a hemp oil base and are crafted for specific uses. The lip balms come in handy reusable tins for ease of use and less waste. I hope you enjoy your purchase and please feel free to contact me with any questions".

Yes, A Florida Cracker calf arrived during the week of the tremendous rain storm in May. (Momma is Selma ).
July 30, 2009 - Another new red calf born this morning from Tippedeaux.
As many of you know, Florida Cracker Cattle are descended from livestock that the Spaniards brought to Florida during the 16th century. This breed of cattle is critically endangered but is slowly making a comeback due to conservation efforts by cattlemen around the State. The Florida Agricultural Museum contributes to this effort by helping to preserve Florida Cracker Cattle and Horses, heritage livestock breeds unique to our State. Please feel free to visit with our latest additions. The museum is open Wednesday-Sunday, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.. We hope to see you soon!
Also, you may learn more about the Cracker Cattle by clicking on the Florida Cracker Cattle Association link on this page.

From the Almanac - FLORIDA CRACKER CATTLE AT THE MUSEUM

Cracker Cattle are at the museum! Dr. & Mrs. Broussard of the Crescent J Ranch were kind enough to give the museum a bull calf and two heifers as important additions to our heritage livestock collection. Florida Cracker Cattle are one of the oldest breed of cattle in the U.S. They are descended from the Spanish cattle brought to the state in the early 1500s. The genetic heritage of this breed is derived from crossing an all purpose type of European cow from the northern Iberian peninsula wit… Continue
